The Naked Tree

When you were born, like a seed you were vulnerable, but you survived, the parch heat, humidity, the exposure and rough weather.From a seed you grew on to acquire ROOTS, and moved on to stems,branches,twigs,leaves,and finally flowers and fruit .
And you grew up to be a tree, the leaves of which were conditioned by education, and the people around, by persistence, self discipline, industry, willingness to accept as life came along.
Each day of conditioning made you strong, and audacious. Each of these days you stood for HOPE, trading time for who you can be, you invested in educating yourself, and each of these days you fought with yourself not to settle for less.
But then the autumn came along, and you backed out, shedding leaves, surrendering to what is external and **beyond you**
Alas, but the story of human race is a story of innumerable human being who sell themselves short each day, for each day in their hearts and mind the self doubt plugs and eats up into who they can or could be, if only they persisted.
The point now is, how NAKED are you, if you are growing your leaves trust the nature to get back the spring to you. If you are in spring already, trust to see the autumn soon, aware that anything persistent and permanent is change.
NAMEPLATES are boring !
You don’t want to be living all your life with the nameplate, that’s not what defines you,you are your definition, yours alone,and if the tree you are building stands for giving, you define others around you,andonly then in true sense have you existed and made a difference.
Today pledge to give something, anything your time, your attention, your vision, or as little as a thought .You will then see the other naked trees around you building on, and blooming in a message that reverberates around the universe “Giving and building on..”

Knowledge is the currency of the new economy.
In the information age (knowledge workers) that is just a passing fad and the Conceptual Age that eagerly waits for us with to adapt it, time has come to think different and believe in a Change. How soon this change will happen, we don’t know yet, but if you are willing to leave that shield of indifference that you caress so possessively around yourself, you are bound to find where we are collectively going, the challenge still being, what is your vision?
Working for yourself means doing all that you want to do, writing your own job description. In the fair market that we have now, there is no dearth of inherent talent; sooner or later someone will replace you. So now, the fear is extinction, DISTINCT or EXTINCT.
This shift is due to a variety of reasons, dull workplaces, more information at every ones disposal, internet that has bridged the gap between people , making virtually any data available at our fingertips, people questioning the reason of their existence , more often.
I was just reading this pdf about Jimmy Wales , and how immense difference he is making to the knowledge database (vis a vis Britannica) .After18 months and $250,000, they had 12 articles. To reach the one millionth article, total investment, $500,000, most of it being from Wales himself. Not that is some vision .
What Jimmy was trying to do, was to turn the Britannica (one best way model as against one smart guy modelAristotle, and other great philosophers and historians) into a one for all model, where several moderately smart people work towards this vision of creating something really big.
Two quick lessons here:
- Conformity is a passing fad. Together we can do a lot more , if we direct our synergies in a productive manner.
- The future belongs to those who invest in knowledge, so the quicker you start , the more leveraged you are.
